We support the social movements that advocate strict stewardship and conservation of our planet’s natural resources.

As an economic sector, the laundry industry is inherently an efficient user of natural resources through the advanced technologically designed equipment we provide as well as to our strict adherence to governmental regulations.

Hercules incorporates sound business principles that ensure positive results to our stated environmental mission. We distribute energy saving products to building owners, management companies and on- premises laundry users and further educate them in the newest ways to save on essential energy costs and conservation initiatives so that they, in turn, can create a positive laundry experience for their tenants and end users.

Procedures that are in place to ensure execution of our high environmental standards are:

• Creation of a “Clean Green” laundry environment policy which ensures that new laundry rooms meet a Hercules “Clean Green” seal of approval in energy and resource savings. The policy mandates that we design laundry facilities that create the smallest negative environmental footprint possible by effectively minimizing the use of water, gas and electricity.
• A staff, trained by manufacturers, to sell, lease and educate our customers as to the best energy efficient equipment that satisfies their particular laundry needs.
• Seminars or open houses to further educate laundry users as to the most economical ways to save energy.
• Sponsorship of a multi-year policy to remove older, energy wasting washers and dryers currently in use and replacing them with Energy Star or higher rated equipment.
• Service technicians fully trained on optimizing wash and dry settings for maximum results with minimum energy usages. (Such as extended final spin cycle times for higher water extraction, which in turn cuts dry times and saves on gas or electricity.)
• Introducing high MPG vehicles into our service fleet.
• All Hercules staffers are trained on using sound environmental practices inside and outside the office environment.
• Products that are being rationalized are being recycled back into the marketplace where appropriate rather then discarded.
