Hercules uses the latest smart card technology which drastically cuts down time, theft; and can easily be recharged with credit, debit or over the internet at http://www.herculescard.com/WebCVA/. In New York alone Hercules has over a million smart card users. Each smart card has a small embedded chip where information can be stored. The card is inserted into a card reader on the washer or dryer and the proper amount is automatically deducted. The starting balance and the remaining balance on your card are displayed on the card reader. We have eliminated the time consuming and costly trips to the bank to get a roll of quarters just to do laundry.

No coins in the laundry room means no coin-box targets for vandalism and robberies, which significantly eliminates costly repairs and down-time of the washers or dryers. Most importantly, there is no postponing or interrupting of your laundry room chores when the supply of quarters runs low or out.
