In the 21st century, state-of-the-art laundry is a critical amenity management companies must provide to its residents.

At Fox Meadow, residents are just minutes from Philadelphia, Cherry Hill and enjoy spacious residences complete with all of the comforts of a New York Upper East Side apartment. Fox Meadow has 1,492 apartments throughout 82 buildings and over 4,000 residents. In 2000, Jeff Kurtz of the Kamson Corporation asked Hercules to survey Fox Meadow’s eight laundry rooms.
Hercules replaced the existing coin operated laundry machines with the latest in Smart Card Technology. This enabled the residents to operate their new laundry room equipment with a renewable Smart Card. Residents are able to revalue their cards with Intelli CTS cash or Intelli Credit Card machines. Hercules recommended fifty-nine Maytag’s Commercial Energy Advantage High-Efficiency Neptune Front Load Washers and thirty Maytag stack dryers. These would use less water and energy than conventional washers and dryers and reduce utility costs.
When construction began, John Abraham, Assistant Vice President of Sales, relocated to the local Radisson Hotel for two weeks, held regularly scheduled sessions and was completely accessible day and night to demonstrate all of the new equipment and technology. “Few residents understood the card system, John was invaluable and provided our residents with a comforting feeling, he was able to impart just how easy everything was to operate” says Lee Chanona, Operations Manager at Fox Meadow. “In the 21st century, state-of-the-art laundry is a critical amenity management companies must provide to its residents.”
